Volunteers are needed to help spruce up Cranford Park this Sunday.

Local historian Barry Raymond said the future of the site remained unclear after Hillingdon Council rejected plans for flats in Jaunary, and demolition work began last week.

If you want some reward for a hard year slaving over your vegetable patch then the Hounslow & District Allotments & Gardens Association annual show is the event for you.
Their event this weekend will showcase vegetables, fruit and flowers, floral art, cookery (including jams, jellies, bread and cakes), knitting, toys and craft work.
The Chronicle team will be in Asda, Hounslow, on Thursday, August 28 from 11am to 3pm and there's, literally, a treat in store.
Until supplies run out, all purchasers of a Chronicle during our visit will receive a FREE 55gm pack of scrumptious Mike and Ike sweets.
So, Chronicle fans, look out for our representatives when you pick up your paper.
By the way, we'll also be running this promotion at Asda Feltham on August 21 from 11am to 3pm.
A trampoline club is appealing for old faces to get in touch to help celebrate its 21st birthday next month.
Formed in 1987, the Cranford Kestrels club is on the hunt out for its 200 past members to make the celebrations on September 27 extra special.
